Samsung plans to release an application that will help the owners of the equipment of the South Korean brand independently repair electronics at home. This is reported by The Verge.
An application for registration of the trademark Self Repair Assistant was found in the database of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Offered as an app to users, the service will allow consumers to repair their Samsung devices themselves, according to the description.
Initially, the application will contain data only on a few flagship models, but in the future we can expect a wider list of solutions. In the future, the list of models should be seriously expanded. It will also add smart watches and headphones.
It is also noted that Samsung has entered into a partnership with the American company iFixit, providing a website with instructions and spare parts.
