Japan's Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Yasutoshi Nishimura announced that the Japanese government had decided to allocate $15 billion for the development of the semiconductor industry.

The minister added that one of the main issues for Japan at the moment is security in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Yasutoshi Nishimura also agreed to cooperate with the United States in the field of semiconductors and other industries.
We will deepen cooperation in a wide range of industries, including semiconductors, human rights, economic security and nuclear energy.
In the meantime, Japan intends to develop its semiconductor industry, its car market has fallen to a 45-year low.
